How to Install Android 4.2 Camera and Gallery
- You’ll need a clockworkmod (cwm) recovery or TWRP recovery to flahs the zip file. If you don’t have one already, search here to find one for you — most probably, we would have it covered. Once you have the recovery, go over to next step.
- Download the Camera/Gallery package from one of the links below.
Download Link (Alternative Link) Filename: 4.2Camera_t04_2.zip - Copy the 4.2Camera_t04_2.zipfile to your device. Remember the folder where you copy it, as you would to select it from here in step 6 below.
- Turn off the phone and boot into TWRP/CWM recovery.
- Before we flash/install the new Android 4.2 camera app with gallery app, it’s wise to back up the current rom first. So, once you boot into recovery mode, use the backup option and complete a full backup first.
- Now, to install the Android 4.2 camera app, select Install, then browse and select the 4.2Camera_t04_2.zip file you downloaded in step 4 above. Confirm installation to flash it. After installation is complete, select the Reboot system button to reboot the phone.
(NOTE:To revert to the original Gallery and Camera, simply boot into Clockworkmod recovery again, select Restore, then restore your ROM by selecting it from the list, which will restore the phone to its state as it was before you installed the Android 4.2 gallery and camera.)
